All open body turnbuckles are made from high tensile 686 manganese bronze which eliminates the possibility of thread seizure, or gailing. Fittings are threaded 316 stainless steel except for the threaded fixed jaws which are threaded bronze. Materials used are corrosive resistant to a salt water environment.

Closed body turnbuckles. Sizes 5/16, 7/16 & 3/4 are made from Grade 352.

All other sizes are made from Grade 464.
